The Sickle Cell Association of Uganda is a grassroots organization that represents the interests of patients in Uganda. We strive to change the widespread perception in Uganda that people with sickle cell disease are worthless and deserving of stigma and discrimination. Through counseling and education, we aim to improve the lives of these families and promote a more inclusive and supportive society.

We need your help to build Uganda’s first 24-hour Sickle Cell Care Center, a facility that will provide crucial, round-the-clock care for sickle cell patients. Currently, Uganda has only one day care clinic, leading to overcrowding and insufficient resources for those in need. Our new center will offer specialized care, separate pediatric and adult treatment areas, emergency medical equipment, and dedicated counseling spaces to support patients and their families. Located in Kawanda – Namalere Bombo Road, this center will be a beacon of hope for countless individuals battling sickle cell disease.
